Underwriting manager Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. is now offering its energy program on an admitted basis in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. The program provides a suite of property and casualty (P&C) coverage for a range of oil and gas contractors and consultants.
According to Corrine Nunley, senior vice president and underwriting manager for Schinnerer’s Energy program, the insurance market for energy risks is underserved because of factors such as the rapid expansion of domestic oil and natural gas production.
Schinnerer underwrites customized general liability, property, inland marine, commercial auto, crime, and excess liability coverages. Package policies are also available.
The program, based out of Schinnerer’s Houston office, targets oil and gas contractors, oil and gas operators, lease operators, non-operators interest, drilling contractors, work over contractors, oilfield servicing contractors, consulting and engineering services, and equipment leasing operations. Coverage is available through Munich Re, the insurer for all of Schinnerer’s energy program coverages.
