Ironshore’s U.S. Energy Unit Launches Endorsements for Upstream Risks

December 16, 2013

The Energy Unit of Ironshore’s U.S. Specialty Casualty unit is now offering enhanced insurance coverage endorsements for upstream energy risks as part of its ExcessProtect Plus Energy Commercial Excess Liability policy.  The suite of endorsements provides insurance coverage for energy risks that are engaged in oil and gas lease site operations, including lease operators and non-operators as well as the myriad of contractors working in this segment of the energy sector.

According to Dawn Puro, vice president and home office underwriting manager for U.S. Specialty Casualty, the endorsements offer coverage for risks such as the use of radioactive isotopes found in well logging tools, expanded underground resources coverage, as well as exceptions to ISO styled pollution covers with respect to what constitutes a waste site.

Ironshore provides broker-sourced specialty property and casualty insurance coverages for varying risks on a global basis through its multiple international platforms.
