Sarah, this is the mother of all laws of unintended consequences. I like OBob’s solution to re-introduce it on an up or down vote. I am sure it would sail right through as he put it.
I find this comment hilarious considering it’s posted on an insurance website where, barring NH, everyone with a vehicle is required to buy that [auto insurance] product.
Rosenblatt-Not certain about every state but the majority that I am aware of do not require insurance but rather financial responsibility, which can be satisfied by insurance, a bond or other proof of ability to pay in the event of a loss. Further unlike the ACA which requires purchase of medical if you are alive, one does not have to drive a car, it is a choice that citizens make like so many others.
Ha! You’re assuming that this is a Country that follows the rule of law. Leader Obama will just fix it, ignore it or change it to his liking. Who needs Congress right? Better yet SCOTUS will fix it for him…tax, fine, they’re all the same.
Simple solution just insert “1321” and re-introduce the ACA for a vote. I can’t imagine why a law this popular wouldn’t sail right through the 2nd time.
Hey OBob, especially with a 26% approval according to the latest poll. Even Democrats are running from this now and fear reprisals at the polls in November.
I love that a U.S. District judge appointed by Bill “that depends on what the definition of ‘is’ is” Clinton is arguing the interpretation of the phrasing of the law.
When has a law in any country caused such an upheaval? Trampling on religious freedom. Penalizing people for not buying something. Forcing me to pay for things I will never use. Taking qualified licensed professionals out of the distribution channels.
Our phones – untethered
Cooking – more efficient
Cars – safer
Food – healthier
Tires – less likely to have a blowout on the highway at 70MPH
Dress – casual
Youth – struggling to pay for education, thanks to Republicans
Leaders – Shameless – robbing the middle class to help the rich
Relationships – no one else’s business
Attitudes – logic and reason over antiquated, irrational customs
Babies – born into poverty, but let’s give more to the rich
Feelings – heartless – Rebublicans
Education – sinking in rank in the world, but let’s cut the funding even more; only those who are born into wealth deserve an education
Children – mannerless, as has been said about every generation
Country – too much religion, not enough science
We are – more than one-word platitudes
Congress is – bought
Our president is – still better than the traitor-in-chief who sold weapons to Iran!
Is it just me or is there something fishy about the number of dislikes without any liberal comments? Has this site been hijacked by the politically correct police?
I noticed that happen yesterday too. Assuming Libby or CaptainPlanet made a stink in some liberal subreddit and the white knights of liberalism strode out en masse.
Been going on a lot longer then ten day or so. Soon as the ACA came to be, instead of pooling our resources for whats important in day to day operations, this has turned the industry into an us against them mentality. I’m all right and your all wrong way of life.
You flatter me that I have that much pull in the “liberal” society! LOL!!! I could care less how many votes you get, one way or the other.
Usually it’s Sarge that censors me. I haven’t a clue who’s working for the other side. I was out all day yesterday on a new business call. Yes, that’s right, Agent, A NEW BUSINESS CALL. And it’s over $200k in premium. Hmmmmm. Now how much revenue will we make???

Or the two of them are working on a work comp claim by furiously clicking on the dislike button – but isn’t that the liberal mantra? Vote early and vote often!
Bob, we know that is the mantra of liberal Democrats to vote early and often. Several have been convicted of it recently. Not one Republican has ever been charged with voter fraud. If I were to name some dislikers on this forum, Libby, Planet, Boogereater, Celtica & Ron would be at the top of the list. I am generally the least liked of the Conservative side and they hate me, but the feeling is mutual.

Destro, you will find that the more articles you post on and promote the Conservative ideas, the more you will be attacked by the leftists on this site. Take it from me, they don’t like Conservatives or any Conservative ideas or solutions to the vexing problems of this country. It usually quickly goes into a personal attack since they have no positive ideas to offset ours. Consider some of the posts I have from Boogereater, 102 and Planet, not to mention the now infamous Libby.
You said, “Several have been convicted of it recently.” Please cite your source(s). Do not regurgitate the articles Always cited previously. There was only one conviction mentioned, not several.
Did you say, “Not one Republican has ever been charged with voter fraud.”?
I do not hate or even dislike you. I do not know you well enough to make an informed decision about how I really feel about you.
In addition, I rarely dislike any of your comments. If I do dislike it, you will see a reply from me. Besides, why do you focus so much on how many like or dislike your comments? How insecure are you?
Hey Ron, you keep wanting proof of voter fraud. You should go on Townhall.com today and read about the widespread voter fraud in NC as a result of an audit done of voter rolls. Numerous dead people voting, people voting in more than one state and it is a large number. You are an idiot thinking this has not been going on with elections and it having an impact on how elections come out.
The issue with the like/dislike is that when you have an organic vote of say 9+/2- (generally meaning a well liked or accepted comment) and then you have some kind of concerted effort to spam-vote those comments negative it hides the comments and distorts the reality of the discourse.

You got that right Agent. Although there was a very dismal turn out in Chicago last week at the polls, go figure. All the dislikes only prove how distressed they all are in knowing that their “cure all” ACA is a bigger disaster than any one could have imagined. I guess Pelosi should have read it before she and all the other Democrats passed it. LOL!!
Always, they just delayed the sign up once again since they can’t get their numbers. When will they just extend it to the rest of the year? They are up to 31 changes/delays now. Isn’t 4-15 the tax day? I thought I heard it was through April, but I could be wrong about that. This is going to give the wonderful IRS trouble on the subsidies etc and how to apply the fines, when someone signs up etc. They will probably cherry pick returns of Conservatives since that is how they operate. You may even get audited again FFA. Won’t that be fun?

FFA, Blue Cross just announced that 15-20% of enrollees into their system have not paid their premiums. If that holds true with other carriers, over one million have not completed the enrollment process and do not have insurance. I guess that puts a little damper on the Obama victory dance. I hope your lady that had the C-section had paid her premium.
She did pay it when I pushed the ap in. However, govt did not transfer the money over and she had to pay an additional month. As far as I can tell, BCBS never got that first month from the govt.
I wonder how many of them 15 – 20% paid in govt site and govt are just holding the premium.

Just got off the phone with a commercial client of mine. She filled out a Shop Application in November and never heard back. Her employees have been calling, getting quotes on the individual plans.
Today, she called the 800 number. The navigator told her that the application was approved and she did not respond to the coverage offer.
Her first question was about the status of the Shop Program which OBama delayed. The navigator told her it was viable and ready to roll.
I guess they got good training.

Personally, I just dont understand why we care about that situation. Who here thinks we should stick our nose into another Civil War?
FFA, If you remember history, Neville Chamberlain, Great Britain Prime Minister approved a deal (appeasement) with Hitler on Austria & Sudetenland when Hitler decided to do some annexing. How did that turn out for Europe and the world? Europe needs to man up and present a united front to Putin or they could all be annexed just like the satellites they were during the cold war. If Obama really wanted to hit Putin in the wallet, just make natural gas available from the US instead of Europe depending on Russian natural gas. We are the world leader in natural gas now and have an almost inexhaustible supply of it. It might also help us on the Balance of Payments deficit we have with Europe as well.
As much as I’d like to slur Obama on the CCCP2.0 situation, it really is on Europe to stand up and be the ones that champion the situation. I honestly think that WWIII is just around the corner. If you look at the US national debt, the only times it sharply spiked(as it currently is) has been during the Civil War, WWI, The Great Depression, and World WarII.
And between Russia aggressively injecting themselves into Ukraine and Iran getting closer to the possibility of creating a nuclear weapon it seems like that could be a very real possibility within the next 5-10 years.
I’m not even worried about Iran using a nuke, but more worried about “losing track” of one and it getting into the hands of neighboring nation’s extremist groups.

Off topic FFA, but what do you think of your new phenom Kris Bryant with the Cubs? I thought it was odd that he was sent down before the season, but they brought him back up and he looks like the real deal.
We may not have much to cheer about with the Rangers this year. They lost their two best starters already to injuries and the back ups are not much. You don’t tend to win many games 10-9 in the major leagues.
And Blue Cross admitted that up to 20% of the enrollees actually paid a premium. I agree that it is a relatively low number of previously uninsured actually signed up and how many of those paid? Most were the ones who lost their coverage under the now famous edict or the PreX crowd that had Pool coverage that was also cancelled. They were certainly desperate to get anything they could. Now, reality is setting in. Next up is the Small Groups that will have their rates doubled and decide to throw their employees to the exchanges.
if congress didnt intend for the subsidies to be availble on the fed exchange, the section 1321 would not have been needed. people can buy insurance without subsidies at a insurance companies website.
dennis, we know people can sign up on an insurance website without subsidies. The problem is cost. They do like those subsidies to be deducted and many have overstated their income to max out the subsidy and they will probably get audited by IRS and have to pay them back for trying to game the system.

We know you can’t read, but now we know you don’t know math. Just where are all the liberals agreeing with Captain and me??? I still have more thumbs down than up, you moron. You righties are obsessed with conspiracy theories. Time to take off the tin foil hat and take a lithium, Destro. LOL!!!
Gee, I wonder how you get all those thumb downs Libby! We know how popular your rants are on this site.
Funny, coming from the same person that accuses me of rigging the votes in my favor. Make up your mind.
You, too, Al.
One of the Sunday Morn news shows were reporting only 800,000 previously uninsured signed up.
