There is no doubt that texting while driving is out of control. Perhaps if the fines and penalties were as severe as for drunk driving, it might get the attention of all drivers. Of course, it seems that at least in California the Highway Patrol has all but given up on speeding, ineligible vehicles in HOV or car pool lanes, trucks and trailer towing vehicle speed et cetera. It’s not a little scary to be traveling at 70 mph (over the speed limit on most freeways) and be passed up by a car pulling a boat.
Good one Mike. I have been lobbying in my state about passing a texting ban and our state agents association is pushing it as well. Sometimes politicians are slow to wake up. Perhaps the lawyer infestation making up the legislature doesn’t want it as well since many make their living off of claims these texting fools have.

If I had my way, the boats would be turned back to China since harm is being done to our kids. Fracking can be and is done safely and is contributing to our independence from foreign oil and gas. We should be exporting LPG to Europe since they are a ready market and we could stop Putin in his tracks if he didn’t have those contracts.
