So sad to hear this news. Liam was an outstanding leader who is primarily responsible for The Hartford’s remarkable comeback from the brink. He was a straight shooter and open to feedback from the ranks. I personally enjoyed our conversations at The Hartford gym. My sincere condolensces to the McGee family.

Revisionist history at its best. Hartford was not “forced into a U.S. government rescue”, they bought a small savings & loan in Florida JUST so they could qualify for bailout money. Once they got it, they sold the S&L.

Revisionist history at its best. Hartford was not “forced into a U.S. government rescue”, they actually bought a small savings & loan in Florida so they could get their hands on bailout money. Once they had it, they sold the S&L.
