I like the comment because I hate texters while driving, but some more rural areas still don’t have lights, let alone barriers. They can sneak up on you sometimes.
There have been a couple of bad train/car accidents in recent months. I believe they both had the barriers and lights flashing at the crossing. People who live in rural areas already know where the crossings are and they don’t try to beat the train by speeding up.
