Why do they have to point out they are women owned? Is the comment a veiled signal to their owners or investors that they didn’t pay as much as they would’ve if they were male owners? Will they be announcing the Race of the next wave of new office owners?
Would it be more correct to state that they’ve suckered 5 women into ceding 30% of their commissions and all contingency bonuses to Brightway on top of paying an onerous franchise fee?
Correct Mr. Solvent. This doesn’t look to me an attractive option. Why not get appointed with direct Standards with no franchise fees and full commission and full contingencies for production and good business placed?
I agree. I’m missing the “franchise value” that Brightway is providing. Maybe these are startups that could get appointed by quality personal lines carriers?
It’s a long process to get quality appointments but as a guy who started with 2 carriers and a broom closet, it’s the best way to go. Customers appreciate talking to the same person every time and if you can show them your value, they’re not going to drop you for $100.
The “franchise” model takes you out of the equation. You quote and sell the policy for rock bottom pricing and move along to the next one.
I find it so interesting that people actually take the time out of their busy days and lives to be negative. Why not just celebrate the success others are having while at the same time feeling proud of what you have accomplished? The two do not have to be mutually exclusive.
Wishing success all around! May everyone reach their personal potential!
I find it interesting that all of a sudden the Brightway boosters are here taking time out of their busy days to tout the value of the franchise model.
It’s not easy being a business owner or an insurance agent. From the research I’ve done, Brightway takes away many of the pain points so agents can focus on helping customers get great coverage while growing a successful business.
And experience has taught me that support is a very good thing.
Congratulations to the 6 new business owners who are opening a new chapter in their lives!
I’ve had my insurance with a Brightway agent for a few years. I’ve been very happy with my coverage and the customer service and my agent seems to be very happy with the company.

I think this is great! I wish these women the best of luck!
