Here, I have a counter article from a reliable poster and ordinary Americans at CommunistActionPolls. They say that 100 million people will lose coverage.

        Must be accurate.

No, I will just keep using the non-partisan, George W. Bush appointee-led CBO to determine the most likely scenarios, not biased pollsters.

We don’t care about an outlier group you may wish to associate with ALL Conservatives, nor the George Bush appointee. We know the CBO’s work is biased and flawed; e.g. CBO rated ACA well. No more needs to be said to disprove your suggestion of credibility or lack of bias of CBO.

I said it twice and will make it thrice: CBO needs to be used sparingly, and not for insurance issues. For ACA repeal and replace, Congress MUST hire 2 insurance consultants. CBO is a joke as regards ACA R&R.

Unfortunately, the CBO can’t account for Republican obstruction and sabotage. Their numbers would be much closer, but you have governors rejecting medicaid expansion, sowing dissension and confusion about the plans and offerings, etc.

Try again. Prove their inherent bias. Prove they don’t know what they are talking about.

There was NO Republican sabotage in ACA because Reid LOCKED the doors after having Capital Maintenance install NEW LOCKS with keys given ONLY TO DEM SENATORS.

As far as obstruction goes, how EXACTLY did that change the wording and implementation of ACA? – – – which was DESIGNED TO FAIL, TO LEAD TO CRIES FOR SINGLE DELAYER HEALTH CARE IN THE US.

Rasmussen and Credible Pollster have never been used in the same sentence before.

Any aggregate firm is going to set Rasmussen at around +4R bias to try and normalize their numbers since they are so far off.

15 million may not have coverage, but how many of those will lose it instead of choose to not carry it because they are “uninsurable?”

How many of those will suffer because they cannot afford treatments and medications?

Chime in about outgoing McCain all you want. 49 R Senators were on board, and it’s only a matter to time before the repeal goes through. How much time? I dunno. McCain can’t run again, and a true conservative has an open door in AZ and all the support Conservatives across the US can provide via donations. When that happens, I’ll be laughing my Ossoff, again. But I don’t think that, even at that time in the future, I’ll yet be tired of winning. The question is: when will Libitterals tire of losing and whining? Whenever that may be, some will change their way and adopt moderate or conservative postures to follow the will of The People.

23 Dem Senators are up for re-election in 2018, vs. 8 Republican Senators.

FULL repeal and replacement efforts can wait until then, but TrumPresident will be counseled to use an EO to remove Congressional exemption from ACA provisions. That’ll get them to reconsider their votes.

Medicaid covers treatments for those who cannot afford insurance.

Thus, the ‘uninsurable’ are eventually ‘insured’, although insurance is not needed in their case. They are simply given medical treatments and the govt pays the bill. But, I responded in this manner because LOSER Libitterals are only able to word parse because they have no political power.

It’s not a matter of Dems wanting political power. They are losing and will lose more in 2018, when 23 Dem Senators come up for re-election. I see about 10 who are locks to win re-election in deep blue states. The other 13 Dems are in great peril of losing. Meanwhile, Republicans can gain a 60 vote majority with 8 wins in those 13 battle ground states.

They just keep missing the obvious. Lose the market place. Lose the web site. Put distribution back in the hands of local / trained / regulated / licensed / insured and bonded people that know the local market. Put over site back in the hands of the State DOI’s. Let the carriers deal with the infrastructure.

Cut the middle man out of the picture. He is not necessary.

The govt has already proved they cant handle this.

Hi FFA, it is very difficult to unwind the worst legislation in history. Progressives made sure of that. As the President said recently, it may just need to go belly up completely before anything can be put in place to straighten it up.

By the way, congratulations to our POTUS and Scott Walker for landing the huge FoxConn plant in Wisconsin which may be close to you. Thousands of jobs for the plant and the construction when they build. Bound to be a big boost for the state. Wonder why Illinois didn’t get it.

Janesville is giving away Shovel Ready job sites with legit business plan and financing in place. He has landed several other such as Amazon Distribution Center as well as Dollar General Distribution Center. Menards Corp is here. As far as the State Colleges go, tuition coming down while he is reducing funding to them. Enrollment is way up as Out of State Tuition in Madison is lower then Il in state tuition. Il is really f’d up.

FFA, good for Wisconsin. By the way, here is a funny. Today, there was an amendment proposed by Republican Daines that forced a vote on Single Payer. Not one Democrat voted for it, defeated 57-0 with several taking the Obama vote of present. Ron will go into cardiac arrest that his pet Single Payer is so bad, no one will vote for it. By the way, the estimates of cost is $32 Trillion with a T over 10 years which would result in massive tax increases and bankrupt the economy. We only thought Obamacare was an expensive proposition. Progressives are losing at every turn now. Good thing Trump won or Hillary would be pushing Single Payer as the answer.

The real issue is that medical coverage contains significant expense that can be mitigated.

Tort reform (Legalocracy), Rx reform (Pharmocracy) and Lobby reform (Lobbyocracy) need to be addressed not enabled with continued inefficient expanded government control.

If we could compress the current medical industrial complex more funds would directly available for preventive and needed medical care.

The 4% (1940) to current 18% (2017) of GDP for health spending is irrational and may not be sustainable.

During World War II with frozen wages, the third party payer system was started to attract and retain employees.

Current over use of high end equipment, Rx and specialists in America has average cost about $10 K per person expenditure.

Most other “developed” counties pay 3 to 5 K year!

Agreed, there is just so much waste from top to bottom. Some of it is total mismanagement on a federal level, through insurance companies, and at health care providers.

Some of it is greed (look no further than EpiPen cost going up 500% over a 7 year period…)

Some of it is over-prescribing meds and treatments because the Doctor needs to make a payment on his lake house and 2nd Porsche.

Now, of course, the next thing will make the righties on here cringe, but regulation is one of the biggest ways to curb a lot of the problems. It obviously can’t fix everything, but what if costs were limited? What if increases were tied to the rate of inflation or another metric? What if drugs could go into the public domain faster so that generics could be offered? What if ultra low-cost preventative medicines were available to reduce the incidences of catastrophic surgeries (give statins away to lower cholesterol to reduce heart disease, incentivize health membership usage and tie it to health care credits, etc, etc, etc)

On the contrary, many of the concepts of the ACA remain incredibly popular:

      No lifetime caps
No denial of coverage based on preexisting conditions
Children stay on Parents plan until 26

But, years and years of scare tactics by Fox News and Talk Radio have convinced the populace that the entire thing is rotten. Improvements can and should be made to the ACA, but as of yet, no plan offered by the Republicans has been better. It was never designed to be perfect and is far, far from it right now, but so far, the GOP has been unable to define what would be better.

If it were that easy, it would have already passed. Instead, they stand here months later pulling their pud, trying to throw the blame on Democrats who have no way of obstructing them…

Everyone knows that cutting out the middle man will reduce cost.
I don’t really have many issues with the plan designs – except for the high deds & never ending co pay and changing the definition of Max OOP.

Its apparent that they are not going to get a repeal. If it wasn’t Trump, it would most likely already have been done. Seems everyone wants to fight him instead of getting things corrected / fixed / done. Someone should take his Twitter Account away from him.

So, go about fixing it. Who really cares what its called?

Don’t know how many other short sleepers there are out there, but I just saw a turtle go back into his shell on Live TV. That was breathtaking. Like watching Planet Earth on Blu-Ray!

LOL. McConnell said “Let’s turn the page and move past this.”

They are abandoning their plans, knowing full well they have no idea how to legislate, govern, and compromise.

Obamacare is law. Another failure from this congress and the Dealmaker-in-Chief. I normally don’t go to sleep until 2 am, but I am feeling almost tired of winning at this point, I may just go to sleep early.

Nah, glad I waited up for Cruz man-on-the-street interview where he straight up lied about Obamacare tax penalties. Get bent, you unsmiling failure. Go kiss up to Trump some more while he insults the appearance of your wife, calls your dad a murderer, and straight up laughs in your face.

Three houses of government in a country that has only three houses of government and the Republicants could not get it done.

    Could not get it done.

The most important question the needs to be answered: “Is Senator John McCain still a hero to President Trump?”

No, because Trump doesn’t like people who were captured by the North Vietnamese. Trump’s only service was to avoid getting VD while real patriots were being killed in service in the Vietnam war.

It’s cute that you think that way. McCain’s not running for reelection and may not make it through his term, Murkowski and Collins were both elected because they are rightwing nutters. Murkowski won on a write-in campaign. She is bullet-proof, much to bully Trump’s chagrin. Can’t threaten people with actual backbone, ya know?

But a lot of those Republicans in blue or purple states just signed up for the unemployment line, and since Trump banned Senators from going to K Street after getting voted out (except for all the waivers he granted his entire staff, no surprise he lied about that, too) they are possibly going to actually have to go back to the private sector.

      Dean Heller, come on down!

correction, Murkowski and Collins are NOT rightwing nutters. Some voters and congresspeople actually still have and vote with their dignity intact.

People like Lindsey Graham should try that sometime.

“Three Republicans who voted ‘no’ just sealed their fate as regards re-election.”

Even if that is true, it is refreshing to see at least some politicians will put the people ahead of re-election.

        Bull.

They all had reasons to vote how they did. You did not make this same commentary during the passing of the ACA that the democrats had voted politics over party, I ask why?

The republicans had an agenda here, it was not “political” it was to get their plan, which, as it turns out, they were elected to do.

You didn’t like the plan. This doesn’t mean those who supported it played politics and those who didn’t, didn’t play politics.

You are far too black and white and lack any depth at all.

So, you agree that the Democrats who voted against it all had reasons to do so, not that they were playing politics? You were saying pretty much exactly the opposite before.

McCain only sealed his fate as the Maverick, now Lion, of the Senate.

Colliins and Murkowski have nothing to worry about, especially Murkowski. Alaskans were NOT happy with Trump’s threat — just take a look at the Alaska Daily News site.

I enjoy how the republicans keep proving me to be right and Yogi to be wrong.

They sabotaged the PPACA, pretended to put together a repeal/replace that could pass, say they will just let the PPACA fail, lose their majority in 2018, let the Democrats come to the rescue, then complain about whatever they come up with saying they have a better plan. Rinse and repeat..

Once the Dems get back control of Congress, they are going to push through the fixes on Obamacare that the Reps wouldn’t even entertain.

Reps only have 1 more year pretending like they have any answers before a wave election sends them back to the shadows where they can do what they do best, “We have a plan, trust us!”

If i45 does what he says he’s going to do, he will once again be placing himself above the country. He will literally be wishing people to die. Not a shocker understanding his objectification of women (including his own daughter) and his obsession with his, um, hand size. What a clown!
