Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced it has acquired Marine Insurance Service LLC of Metairie, La. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Originally founded in 1975, Marine Insurance Service LLC is a retail insurance broker offering risk management, ocean marine and commercial property/casualty insurance services primarily to their Louisiana clients. The company specializes in all marine insurance coverages for shipyards, environmental companies and companies involved in the offshore drilling industry. Edward J. Ryan, Jr. and his staff will continue to operate in Metairie, under the direction of Mitch L. Brashier, Mid-South regional manager of Gallagher’s Brokerage Services Division – Retail.
