HCC Insurance Holdings Inc., headquartered in Houston, announced the reorganization of the company’s executive management team.
Robert F. Thomas was appointed senior vice president of the company, responsible for all Surety and Credit insurance operations worldwide. Thomas, who is also chief executive officer at the company’s domestic surety operations HCC Surety Group, will relocate from Los Angeles to Houston at the end of the first quarter 2005.
Other corporate executives will have re-defined duties: Edward H. Ellis, Jr., executive vice president and chief financial officer, will have responsibilities for all financial matters of the company, Human Resources and Information Technology; Michael J. Schell, executive vice president, will be responsible for all property and casualty insurance operations of the Group; and Craig J. Kelbel, executive vice president, will be responsible for all Life, Accident, Health and other Specialty insurance operations of the group. Christopher L. Martin, executive vice president and general counsel; Pamela J. Penny, senior vice president of Finance; and Farid Nagji, senior vice president and chief information officer, complete the team.
HCC is an international insurance holding company and a specialty insurance group since 1974.
