After many months of gathering data and updating its Web site, www.iiah.org, the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston reported that its “Consumer Search,” to find an agent/type of insurance, and “Member Search” for IIAH members—including the ability to locate another member by line of business and/or service—is up and running on its site.
Earlier this year, all IIAH members were mailed a form to complete detailing the search engine options available for subscription. The search engines contain the responses received from the returned forms and verbal confirmations.
Note: On both search engines, the detail view will only include the information the member has subscribed to be included in the search.
IIAH reported that between Jan. 1, 2005, and July 31, 2005, it had 1,123,192 hits on the Web site, with a daily average of 5,298.
