The Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) will reopen some of its field offices on Sept. 26 as local areas clean up from Hurricane Rita. Other field offices will remain closed until at least mid-week.
The following offices will reopen Monday with modified business hours:
Bryan office – open at 12:00 noon
Corpus Christi office – open at 10:00 a.m.
Tyler office – open at 12:00 noon (subject to change)
Victoria office – open at 10:00 am
The following offices will be closed on Monday:
Lufkin office – closed until Wednesday
Missouri City , Houston East and Houston West offices – closed until
Wednesday
Beaumont office – closed until further notice
An update on the status of office closures will be available on the Inclement Weather telephone line at (512) 804-4157 and on the DWC Web site at www.tdi.state.tx.us/wc by noon on Monday. Proceedings (BRCs and CCHs) scheduled for a time when the field offices will be closed are cancelled and will be rescheduled.
