5TH Annual MHBT Charity Golf Classic Raises $45,000 for Local Charities

October 5, 2005

Dallas-based McQueary Henry Bowles Troy LLP announced today that its fifth annual charity golf tournament raised approximately $45,000 for The Trains at Northpark, benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and Bryan’s House.

The golf tournament was held at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas, and included approximately 100 people and 27 companies from around the Metroplex.

“The level of participation and support of this year’s golf tournament was phenomenal,” said Lance Leslie, senior vice president at MHBT. “The Ronald McDonald House and Bryan’s House are two extraordinary community organizations, and we are pleased to present both groups with a check that will assist and bring hope to the numerous families that come through their doors.”

The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas provides a home-away-from-home for families who have traveled to Dallas seeking medical treatment for their children. More than just a place to sleep, the Ronald McDonald House provides a safe, comfortable, home-like environment for families who are caring for seriously ill children.

Bryan’s House offers a place where kids can be free of the burdens of HIV/AIDS and focus on the important things in life, such as learning to read a book, paint a masterpiece, ride a bicycle and climb a tree. In addition to its primary service, medically managed child care, Bryan’s House also provides child development programs, support groups, play therapy, school supplies and clothes, birthday and holiday gifts, summer camp, and most importantly, hugs and understanding.

MHBT is based in Dallas and also has offices in Austin and Fort Worth, Texas. MHBT and its precursors have offered global insurance, bonds and financial services since 1926. The firm offers commercial risk management and insurance services, employee benefits and financial services, construction bond services, property and casualty insurance, personal insurance and surety and specialized services.
