Kyle Stevens, executive vice president and branch manager of Western Security Surplus’ Texas office, located in Dallas, announced several promotions and a new hire recently.
Jenny Blackwood, who began her career at WSS almost a year ago at the Dallas office, has been promoted to underwriting supervisor. Blackwood came to WSS with a very strong retail background, which according to Stevens “explains why Jenny has been such a favorite with our clients. She recognizes the need for quick quotes and understands the frustrations of today’s insurance agent.”
Blackwood will continue to underwrite MGA business as well as supervise the Texas underwriting department. Blackwood will report to Judy Hall, vice president/underwriting manager, in the Pasadena, Calif., office and also to Stevens in Dallas.
The second promotion is for Robin Hill, who previously worked as WSS’ receptionist/policy clerk. Hill will now move into the underwriting department as an underwriting technical assistant.
Candace Christman has been hired as the second new underwriting technical assistant.
Hill and Christman will report to Jenny Blackwood.
