Sounds like sour grapes to me. Brownsville, TX is in TX and they do have a football team but they have not sniffed a championship in years. Dumb down all schools to their level?

Brownsville is just barely in Texas and you can throw a rock into Mexico. In my area of Texas, during the season, they just practice in shorts and pads and helmut during the week prior to a game. The hitting and scrimaging is usually in the off season or pre season. In my view, coaches should be teaching proper tackling techniques and not leading with the head. Perhaps if we went back to leather helmuts, players would be afraid of tackling that way. These new helmuts give them a false sense of security and then the school wonders why the kids suffer concussions.
