Cindy Jordan, of Barnard Insurance Group in Wichita Falls, Texas, won the FIWT Leadership Award sponsored by Litchfield Special Risks Inc., the company announced. This is the second year the award has been presented to a member of the Federation of Insurance Women of Texas (FIWT).
Jordan has been a member of FIWT and North Texas Insurance Professionals for 24 years. She has served as regional director, publicity chair, long range planning chair, and corresponding secretary for the FIWT, and has served as president and chaired many committees for her local. Jordan is also secretary for the Independent Insurance Agents of Wichita Falls a position she has held for 16 years. She achieved her personal lines ACSR designation in 1998.
The FIWT Leadership award was created to honor and recognize a member of FIWT for their outstanding leadership abilities. Candidates must be an FIWT member in good standing, nominated by their employer, co-worker or any FIWT member, they cannot nominate themselves. Nominees are judged based on their leadership contributions to their local association, FIWT and the insurance industry.
