Maybe they are being PC, but the term “beheading” brings Muslim to mind anytime I hear it. I have a feeling that is the norm for most people these days, but libs wouldn’t admit it.

Judge Janine was interviewing Col Ollie North on her program. She asked him why Obama or Biden or Kerry didn’t show up for the solidarity march in Paris. He hit it out of the park by saying the march was only for “world leaders”.

Undoubtedly the white house considers this to be simply another case of workplace violence just like the Fort Hood shootings. Only in this case the spouse gets w.c. benefits. In the Ft. Hood shootings since it was “not” a terrorist act of war, my understanding is that the families have received no compensation. Anyone know if this is so?

Good question Glenn. Obviously, soldiers on a base are not subject to WC benefits. I really don’t know what provisions were made for the families of the victims. What I do know is that Major Hassan’s hospital stay and medical treatment were all taken care of and we will have to support him until he is executed at some far off date.

Libby, don’t you know how to hit the reply button under the comment you are replying to? It seems to me Rosenblatt criticized me for not hitting the reply buttons correctly even if there weren’t any for about 8-10 comments. In this case, there was a reply button directly under Glenn’s comment.

That’s how you can tell who’s responding to whom on here. I know it’s a little over your intelligience quotient, but why don’t you do a little experiment and see for yourself.

Click reply under Glenn’s post, make a comment and see where it lands. Then, click the reply button under your comment and see where it lands. You might learn something. But I don’t expect you to do it because you’re too big of a moron. Egg on my face, indeed. Snort!

No, it shouldn’t. You can keep claiming she isn’t replying to the correct comment, but the fact is that she’s replied correctly every single time.

She insulted you because your lack of intelligence on how this whole “reply” thing works is self-evident in your posts – you have no idea what you’re talking about.

She knows how to reply correctly. You do not. You’re wrong and she’s right. Deal with it.

FFA – Absolutely! The “IJ Comment Police” can be docked fake credits for insulting someone too.

The only stipulation, as with anyone being docked, is that the insult is not supported by evidence.

Examples: If you call me an hypocrite, that’s a fine-able offense. If you call me a hypocrite for not clicking links but demanding people click the ones I post, that’s NOT a fine-able offense since I am being hypocritical.

Just wondering what I said that made you think I should get docked points. If it’s true, I’ll definitely dock myself!

Agent criticized me for not replying correctly when I did reply correctly. He’s the one that can’t figure out how to properly reply to a post on here. That makes him not very intelligent in the ways of posting a reply on IJ. Not an insult. The truth.

You are too old to have followed this path. I can understand Stan, Rosenblatt, Ron being Progressive trolls, but you have to be in your late 50’s by now so it is mystifying to me why you are so hateful to Conservative opinion which includes not just me, but other guys and all Conservative women like Always Amazed, Perplexed, Connie and others. As far as “conservative” values, I have told you over and over I am fiscally conservative. I just have liberal social views like the woman’s right to choose, racial equality, separation of Church & State, gay rights, and a plethora of other things you old fogeys just can’t seem to wrap your head around.

I am not for higher taxes for the middle class, only those that have the most. I am for streamlining our budget and re-allocating our tax dollars to provide more benefits to our society as a whole (ie. universal healthcare.) Too much of our tax dollars are wasted on corporate welfare while the right screams and hollers about social welfare. You’re all about protecting the wealthiest of us and I am about boosting up the other 99%. I miss the middle class America I grew up in. It has gone by the wayside because of failed Conservative policies like the “trickle down” fantasy. The only thing trickling down is the Koch Brothers as they piss all over middle America.

One comment on the “terrorist” vs. “work place violence”: Congress set rules on what has to happen for an event to be declared a “terrorist attack.”

Neither the beheading nor the Ft. Hood shootings meet the criteria. That is why they are both “work place violence.”

Hey FFA, It was a catch! Big article on Dallas News about the controversial catch/non catch. They showed pictures of a catch in week 7 against the Giants and it was about a carbon copy of the GB situation. Catch, took three steps, stretched for the goal line, ball hit the ground right at the goal line and no problem with the officials or replays. When a player makes a football move with several steps with possession, he is just like any other ball carrier. The ground cannot cause a fumble. I am sure Dez is a happy camper. This rule needs to be changed in the off season.

Really! Too little too late. Cream of the crop refs my a@#. Couldn’t even tell the f balls in NE were underinflated. Saw Brady get grilled by the media regarding that issue. Wonder where that is heading.

Bears made a big signing for the D Coordinator from San Fran. Had the 5th rated D Last year. Welcome to town mr Fangio & Mr Fox. Got some work to do.

FFA – the change in weight between 2psi change in a football is the equivalent of the weight difference between 2 and 3 pieces of paper. I can’t blame the ref’s for not noticing a difference in the weight of the football.

Rose, they showed several play where they held up the game to swap out the balls. Even the Linebacker that picked the ball off new something was off. The line backer that never actually holds the ball unless he picked it off.

FFA – I don’t blame you, but the misinformation that’s come out of this ordeal has people believing things that are just NOT true.

“Jackson said he only wanted the ball as a souvenir and gave it to the Colts’ equipment manager but hasn’t seen it since, reports ESPN. “If anybody recognized anything, it definitely wouldn’t come from me,” said Jackson.””

The Indy linebacker who everyone thinks knew the ball was off and reported it came out and clearly said he had no idea there was anything wrong with the ball.

Good for the Bears FFA on the coaching front. Now, if they can sign and draft with some intelligence, perhaps they can compete with GB next year. It is a shame that the Super Bowl will be about the deflated footballs instead of team records, strategy etc ad nauseum. I don’t watch all that pre-game stuff anyway, but the announcers will probably still be droning on about it. I would bet there will be several NFL officials weighing every ball and checking the pressure and no ball boys from either team handling them before, during the game.

Phew. That’s really going out on a limb there, Agent.

“The equipment manager and ball boys this year will be from the Chicago Bears, who were chosen before the events of last week.”

Deflategate or no Deflategate, neither NE or SEA would have ANY personnel responsible for the footballs in the Super Bowl. Thems be the rules anyway!

I don’t mean to be misleading you, FFA – I didn’t link to the actual article where I got that quote from, since I felt the ESPN article was way more informative.

The facts are the same: before the NFL knew about Deflategate and who’d be playing in the SB, they already decided on which other team’s equipment manager would be used.

Comcast….. BOOOOO. Try talking to someone that can speak clear English in that company. Had me on the phone for over an hour trouble shooting – would have been a lot less time if I could understand what they were saying – and then didn’t get a tech out till late Sat afternoon. Wire broke at the pole. So, most of the week, I saw no news.

Rosenblatt, you are at your best with sarcastic responses to comments. Can’t you just make one comment that isn’t an insult to someone’s intelligence.

You could say that the Chicago Bears equipment people were chosen to handle the balls for the Super Bowl so it shouldn’t be an issue for the big game. By the way the NFC and AFC championships were also big games. Why wasn’t the choice made before those games to have an impartial crew handle the game balls?

Agent, I don’t know why the NFL decided to write the rule that way, but for many years now, the Superbowl has been the only game all season where impartial equipment crews handle the footballs. That rule needs to be changed.

“Can’t you just make one comment that isn’t an insult to someone’s intelligence.”

    How bad is Illinois Corruption?

At this point, all we do is shake our head and think Business as usual. Rauner has got some work to do at every single level.

FFA, every time you post something about Illinois corruption, I just shake my head. They have gotten away with so much in that state and when they get caught, they still benefit. I wonder how Blago is doing in his prison surroundings. Do you think he knows what being a “kid” is all about by now?

By the way, I didn’t watch much of the Pro Bowl last night, but it was a strange game to say the least. Mixing AFC with NFC players was odd. By the way, your Pro Bowl tight end Bennett had iron hands. A ten yard pass to him wide open was dropped. Much like his Dallas days.

FFA, sorry about your cable problems and not being able to get the news etc except internet. I had some trouble with Dish about 3 weeks ago taking Fox News off the air due to contract problems. I was considering going to Direct, but suddenly Fox came back on after 3 weeks of negotiations. Of course, both sides blamed each other for the impasse. I lean on blaming Dish a little more since they have had other contract issues with other channels in the past. One time, they cut off my local ABC channel for almost a month until they got so many complaints, they had to come to Jesus and restore it. I heard that Dish lost about 90,000 customers in this little battle.

The tech stated the line broke on the pole. He had no reason why. Said he could see it dangling before he even went up the pole. It wasn’t good with three – and sometimes 4 kids in the house. Can only play so many board games before they get bored.

Well FFA, I had cable for years before switching to Dish. It went off a lot and the picture quality wasn’t that good. We do lose the picture on Dish sometimes if a storm is going on and we have to re-boot the server, but it works pretty well for the most part. Most of the problems are just contract problems with a network or a channel and that isn’t too often. I do a lot of recording of movies when they come on in the wee hours and if the regular broadcast goes down, I can still play my movies or sporting events.

By the way, on Deflategate, it looks like from reports that a “Lonewolf” equipment guy is responsible for the ball problems. I wonder who paid him off to fall on his sword and take the blame.
