Louisiana to Get $437M in Flood Recovery Assistance Allocated by Congress

October 11, 2016

Sen. Bill Cassidy says Louisiana will get $437 million of the $500 million in flood recovery assistance allocated by Congress.

Congress approved the $500 million in flood recovery assistance as part of a hybrid spending measure passed in September. But it wasn’t clear at the time how much would go to Louisiana and how much would go to other states.

Cassidy described the money as a “down payment” and said the delegation will continue to push for additional aid.
