‘Industry Day Meetings’ Topic: Ga. Licensing System Changes

May 3, 2005

The Georgia Insurance Commission is holding “Industry Day Meetings” across the state from May 5 to May 11 to discuss recent changes to the licensing system.

In an effort to be responsive to agent issues and concerns, Commissioner John Oxendine has asked Promissor to join him in sponsoring industry days that will serve as a forum for discussion of agent and licensing issues. There will be a joint Promissor-Insurance Department panel to present various topics of interest, during which questions from the audience will be answered.

Industry participation is encouraged, according to an announcement by the DoI, and by attending this event, agents can satisfy their 2005 Continuing Education Ethics Requirement at no cost.
