“We are very excited to partner with the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions and bring this consumer outreach workshop to Johnson City and the surrounding areas,” Mary Clement, director of the Division of Consumer Affairs for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance said. “We want to educate citizens and teach them about different ways that we can help them be their own best consumer advocates.”

“This is an opportunity to educate the TriCities residents regarding a number of consumer issues,” Nicole Lacey, assistant commissioner of the Consumer Resources Division for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions said. “Participants will learn some practical advice on mortgage issues. There is valuable information for consumers of all ages at this workshop.”

Lunch will also be provided and is free for the attendees. After lunch, there will be a general information session on Medicare Part D.
