Daryll W Martin has been named executive vice president and director of strategic operations for Regions Insurance Group, a Memphis, Tenn. Wholly-owned subsidiary of Regions Financial Corp. in Birmingham, Ala.
“Martin comes to us with a wealth of industry experience and knowledge that will be of great value as we develop our plans for strategic growth,” David L. “Casey” Bowlin, Regions Insurance Group president and CEO, said. “Among other duties, he will oversee the development and implementation of our sales strategies as well as be responsible for the maintenance of our insurance company relationships at a senior executive, home office level.”

Martin comes to Regions from USI Southwest’s Austin, Texas, office where he was operating company president. He was previously with Summit Global Partners heading its Austin and Houston operations. Prior to joining Summit Global Partners, Martin was managing director at Aon Risk Services where he co-led its National Healthcare Practice, and managed its risk management practice and risk management consulting services in Baltimore, Md. Martin has also managed Sedgwick’s Nashville, Tenn., operations and served as assistant general counsel for Sedgwick’s North American operation.
Regions Insurance Group has more than $800 million in premium production and is one of the top 25 insurance brokers in the country. Its headquarters are in Memphis at 6200 Poplar Avenue. Regions Insurance has 23 offices in five states and employs 480 people.
