August 17, 2006

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue recently met with Swett & Crawford President and CEO J. Neal Abernathy to commemorate the establishment of the wholesale broker’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.

The company reported that at the ceremony, Gov. Perdue said, “We welcome Swett & Crawford to Georgia and anticipate that our business resources will help the company continue to prosper. The company’s decision to locate its corporate office in Atlanta enhances the state’s growing reputation as a significant financial center.”

Abernathy explained, “Atlanta is the natural place for our corporate headquarters. Some of our major markets are located here and Atlanta is a major financial hub. Our technical support is in Suwanee and it made good sense to centralize our administrative and senior leadership team in Georgia, too. Atlanta has been my home for many years. I’m pleased to now make it the home of Swett & Crawford, as well.”
