Citizens Property Insurance Corp. opened an emergency operations center in Deland, Fla., to help policyholders whose homes were damaged by the Dec. 26 storms and tornadoes in the Volusia County area.
The center is at the Hess gasoline station at the intersection of U.S 11 and State Road 17 in Deland. It opened Dec. 26 afternoon and will remain open during regular business hours through Dec. 28.
Citizens policyholders who need help filing claims should contact Citizens personnel at the emergency operations center or may report new losses or ask questions about existing claims by calling (866) 411-2742.
Policyholders may also receive advance payments for damages at the emergency operations center.
