Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, including Farmers Insurance Exchange will offer an annual auto insurance policy in Alabama that will allow auto insurance policyholders and new customers to choose a full-year auto policy term option or the six-month policy term option currently offered.
The new offering takes effect on Dec. 17, according to the firm’s written statement.
Kevin Kelso, President of Personal Lines, Farmers Insurance Group, said the annual auto policy provides the same coverages and discounts available on the six-month policy, but allows customers to lock-in a 12-month price.
“Existing Farmers auto policyholders may choose to take the one-year policy at renewal time, or remain with a six-month policy,” Kelso said.
Alabama Farmers insurance agents will be contacting their customers soon to explain the annual policy.
