“It is very appropriate that from this cradle of the Confederacy, this very heart of the great Anglo-Saxon Southland, that today we sound the drum for freedom as have our generations of forebears before us time and again down through history. Let us rise to the call for freedom-loving blood that is in us and send our answer to the tyranny that clanks its chains upon the South. In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.”

Are you KIDDING me? Get out of your cave and join the rest of us in the 21st century. Or better yet, stay in your cave and fade away. That’s what we call survival of the fittest and improving the gene pool.
The Affordable Care Act is here to stay. It’s law. Make the most of it. Also, IF you have insurance- don’t worry. You are NOT going to be forced to buy goverment coverage. This is a safety net for the currently UNINSURED that are draining the system now. YOU are paying for them now. Lets’s try something more eficient.

Excuse me, governor, but have you ever thought about bringing together healthcare professionals in your states to discuss the needs of your population? Collaboration with knowledgeable stakeholders is an appropriate action for a governor to participate in. Though you have the right to express your emotions/opinions , you are governor–not king– of Alabama. Discovering how best to address the healthcare needs of the population in Alabama would be appropriate and admirable. Refusal to work on behalf of your constituents because of your personal feelings is not.
