West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics has received the largest gift in its history.
The university said that the BrickStreet Insurance Foundation donated $3 million to the college’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The center will now be called the BrickStreet Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Another $1 million was donated to the athletics department to improve athletic facilities.
The university said the foundation donated the money through the WVU Foundation’s A State of Minds campaign. The campaign launched last June seeks to raise $750 million. It will continue through December 2015.
