Relocating the school does nothing to mitigate the loss, which has not actually happened. Until insurance policies are rewritten to address this type of loss, they are not intended to cover the cost to move you out of harm’s way — except for the old standard fire policy provision that coverage applies to the cost of a temporary move to prevent damage from occurring. I’m not against the coverage, just saying I don’t believe it is written into most forms yet.
