Yes. He is considered by many as the best 3rd baseman ever. “The Human Vacuum Cleaner”. He was also a kind of an ironman in games played — entire career with the Orioles. Before Cal Ripken, there was Brooks Robinson.
My answer was to your second question – the ultra-special part — not the why question. I have a soft spot for the humans who perform at the highest level, whether they are ballplayers, mechanics, plumbers, blue-angel pilots or insurance people.
No horking. Just sick of Americans putting athletes up on some kind of pedestal like they cured cancer or something. Someone’s good a playing a sport and all of a sudden they’re worth $15M and have celebrity status. Same with actors. They poop just like the rest of us!

And, nomesaneman, if you ask anyone, I am considered to be the PL agent in CT ever!!! OK–so I exaggerated a little bit..but in my mind, I am. Happy Easter Monday, everyone!
Would you not do the same if it was your father or yourself that was injured? Does it make sense that this organization that generates billions of dollars of revenue each year is protected from all lawsuits that any other organization would have to be responsible for?
Waiver not likely to happen. Custer’s relatives have been tied up in court in the Dakota’s for years trying to get damages from Crazy Horse and the Sioux Indians…………..
In order to sue a sovereign nation, which the noles are, you must seek their permission to do so. Since the noles (tribe) all participate in the profits of the casino, not going to happen. Plus the insurance carrier the casino has is not going to let them waive the rights. If they do, there will be much higher premiums to pay.
“Attorney Jack Hickey is asking the tribe to waive its immunity for Robinson, who otherwise might be limited to only $200,000 in a lawsuit.”
Oh sure, I’m sure the tribe will just waive that so they have to pay through the nose instead.
Mikey……… it never hurts to ask.
Why should he expect immunity to be waived for him? Is he something ultra special?

Bummer he was hurt.
So what? He’s a good ball player??? That qualifies him for waived immunity? What is this world coming to?

Didn’t meant to hork anybody.

***BEST PL agent in CT ever….

It is the same for all governmental agencies. A tribe is no different.

I can imaging the conversation. Jacki – Please pay me $9.9Mil instead of $200,000.
Tribe- Ok. Give us all our land back first.
