It is a sad case, but attorneys should be held responsible for fees incurred in frivolous suits. The child trespassed onto the cement company’s property. Why not sue the fence company and every repair company in town for not repairing the gap? I hope they are successful against the bullying families, where most of the fault lies.
Actually, the plaintiff attorneys should pay all court costs, legal defense fees and pay a hefty fine for bringing this frivolous lawsuit. Tort Reform would be in order as well.
So, let’s see. It was the cement company’s fault or the school board’s fault, but not the PARENTS’ fault or the BULLY’s fault? It’s all about the $$$.
It is terrible that this girl killed herself, but for the mother to sue the company whose property she just happened to use to do so is ridiculous.
Hopefully, the judge ordered the plaintiff to reimburse the cement company’s legal fees for this frivolous suit.
