Boston Duck Tours says the driver of the amphibious sightseeing vehicle that collided with a scooter in Boston, killing a woman, had an “exemplary record” during his six years with the company.
A Boston Duck Tours spokesman said in a statement Tuesday the company last reviewed the employee’s driving record from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles in March.
The statement says the driver involved in the crash has been suspended. The spokesman didn’t comment further when asked about details of the employee’s driving record.
Records released by the RMV show the driver has been cited for speeding 10 times and found at fault in a 2003 accident. The records don’t indicate which vehicle the driver was operating.
The collision Saturday near Boston Common killed 28-year-old Allison Warmuth, an insurance underwriter who lived in the city.
No charges have been filed.
