Fortegra, a specialty insurer based in Jacksonville, Fla., and a subsidiary of Tiptree Financial Inc., has appointed Mark Rattner as executive vice president, chief underwriter, and head of product management. In this capacity, Mark will be responsible for expanding the scope of programs underwritten through Fortegra’s agent distribution network.
Rattner brings 30 years of experience to Fortegra’s specialty programs underwriting division. He previously served as senior vice president of Houston International Insurance Group. According to Fortegra President and CEO Richard Kahlbaugh, Rattner will help accelerate the development of the company’s underwriting and risk selection models.
