The second annual Latin American Agents Association (L.A.A.A.) Trade Fair and Convention rolls into the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel May 3-6, 2001.
Participants seeking contiuing education credits will receive a pair of CE course study books: Property Casualty Basics (23 credit hours); and Market Conduct Handbook (8 credit hours). The cost for the event includes workbook, exam, on-site at L.A.A.A. Trade Fair grading and reporting of CE hours to the California Department of Insurance.
“The L.A.A.A. was started by broker-agents for broker-agents and we are here to help, in any way we can with legislation, education and information to our insurance community,” said L.A.A.A. President Andre Urena. “Our commitment to broker-agents is if you attend one of our events, you will come out of it with something new that you can use the next morning when you open your agency.”
Along with the coursework, a number of activities are planned, including a town hall breakfast, salsa cruise, and Sunday brunch.
“We encourage all nationalities to attend, in fact one of the biggest misconceptions of L.A.A.A. is that we only cater to the Hispanic community,” Urena said. “Our meetings are conducted in English and many different nationalities attend because they see the value in our events.”
