Project Time & Cost Inc. (PT&C) and Novato, Calif.-based Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company reached an agreement for use of PT&C’s building damage evaluation and direct repair service for dwelling losses, and other building damage claims brought by Fireman’s Fund insureds.
The service, known as ptc-NET(SM), utilizes a managed contractor network and web-based application software technology to provide quality building damage estimating and repair services to insurance companies and their policyholders.
ptc-NET(SM) links a national network of pre-screened and pre-approved repair contractors to its on-line repair pricing databases. ptc-NET(SM) also maintains a database of local material and labor costs for over 100 metropolitan areas. PT&C pre-screens all repair estiamtes before they are sent to Fireman’s Fund.
Credentialed contractors agree to perform the reconstruction work in accordance with the estimate they have written. When the contractor is hired to perform the work in accordance with signed work orders, the work quality is fully guaranteed for at least one year by the contractor. The contractor’s guarantee is fully backed up by PT&C.
According to Stan Long, CEO of PT&C, using ptc-NET(SM) will improve the claim service delivery and bottom line of Fireman’s Fund.
