Kingsway Financial Services Inc. announced that it would commence writing non-standard automobile insurance in California, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Lincoln General Insurance Company.
The company received notification of approval of its California license and is now able to expand the relationship that it had previously entered into with the Access Group. Founded in 1994, Access is a privately held Atlanta, Georgia-based operations offering non-standard automobile and property services, together with turnkey claims management.
Kingsway’s primary business is the insuring of automobile risks for drivers who do not meet the criteria for coverage by standard automobile insurers. The company currently operates through nine wholly owned subsidiaries in Canada and the U.S. The company also operates reinsurance subsidiaries in Barbados and Bermuda.
