Thomas Stewart to Speak at Fair, Isaac’s

March 20, 2002

In just eight weeks, Fair, Isaac and Company Inc., a provider of analytics and decision technology, will open the doors to its 20th InterACT conference in San Francisco.

Highlighting InterACT 2002 will be a keynote address by Thomas Stewart, widely acknowledged as the world’s leading expert on working with intellectual capital in today’s knowledge economy.

InterACT, Fair, Isaac’s annual educational forum, will take place May 12-15 at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel. The event is generating interest among executives and managers from the insurance, financial services, retail and telecommunications industries, who are eager to learn how advanced analytics and their applications can help grow their businesses in challenging times.

A recent addition to the InterACT roster, keynote speaker Stewart is a member of the Board of Editors of Fortune Magazine, Editorial Director for Business 2.0, fellow of the World Economic Forum and best-selling author of Intellectual Capital: The New Wealth of Organizations. For six years, his Fortune column “The Leading Edge” helped position him as a progressive thought leader on the subject of intellectual capital and knowledge management.

At InterACT, Stewart will speak about his new book, “The Wealth of Knowledge: Intellectual Capital and the Twenty-first Century Organization,” in which he reveals how leading companies across the globe are successfully applying the concept of intellectual capital into day-to-day operations to dramatically improve performance and profitability. Stewart will not only present the latest thinking in creating and managing knowledge assets, but will provide executives and managers with a course of action to better utilize their current assets and enhance their knowledge resources for the future.

“Knowledge management is not a strategy,” Stewart said. “E-business is not a strategy. What I’m offering here is a practical way to sort through the possibilities that the Information Age presents, so that companies can develop their intellectual capital and, what’s more, make money from it.”

In addition to a full keynote speaker program, including an address by Fair, Isaac CEO Tom Grudnowski, this year’s conference will feature more than 40 educational sessions.

Presented over three days by Fair, Isaac experts, alliance partners and clients, special foci will be on recent breakthroughs in applied analytics—including the company’s brand new Strategy Science applications that optimize customer and marketing management strategies—as well as blueprints for CRM successes today, including presentations from Nykamp Consulting Group, which joined Fair, Isaac in December.

InterACT will also provide attendees with forward-thinking information in credit management, marketing, software and systems technology, the use of scores and predictive models, and industry-specific issues.
