U.S.I. Holdings Appoints Robert Schneider EVP, Finance & Administration

U.S.I. Holdings Corporation announced that effective immediately, it has appointed Robert S. Schneider to the newly created position of executive vice president of Finance and Administration. Schneider will report directly to USI Chairman, president and CEO, David L. Eslick.

In his new role, Schneider will work closely with USI CFO, Ed Bowler, and be responsible for the company’s strategic planning, capital structure initiatives including management of key bank and lender relationships, as well as management of additional financial activities including treasury and investor relations. Additionally, Schneider will oversee the company’s human resources and information technology departments.

Prior to joining USI, Schneider served as vice president Finance and controller for Anthem Inc., where he was responsible for managing most financial functions as well as playing a key role in the financial and capital planning initiatives resulting in the company’s 2001 demutualization and $1.2 billion initial public offering. Schneider also served as vice president Mergers & Acquisitions at Anthem.

After beginning his career in public accounting, Schneider held senior financial positions with insurance broker Frank B. Hall & Co Inc. and with Acordia Inc, where as senior vice president Finance and controller he was responsible for all financial and most administrative functions, playing a leading role in early growth of the public company.
