Mutual of Enumclaw 0ffers Online Rating and Application for BOP

December 23, 2002

Wash.-based Mutual of Enumclaw announced an online rating and application service for agents selling its Business Owners Policy(BOP) product.

The company’s agents can now get quotes in real-time for BOP policies and can also complete an application online. Mutual of Enumclaw licensed technology from IBQ Systems, an application service provider specializing in insurance rating and upload products, to offer BOP sales online.

Any agent for Mutual of Enumclaw using any type of internet connection can simply login to get a real-time quote and apply for a policy using a single interface. The new online system will replace the current time consuming process where agents request a quote from the company, complete a paper application and company staff manually enter data into the mainframe. Agents can enter their own data, saving the company data entry costs and reducing the chance of errors.

In addition to BOP, Mutual of Enumclaw is using the ASP platform
developed by IBQ Systems for all of its personal lines as well as
commercial auto. All of Mutual of Enumclaw’s underwriting and data
edits have been integrated into the platform, so that most of the
policies submitted are accepted without manual intervention.
