ISU Welcomes Two New Calif. Offices

May 24, 2004

Two new agencies were admitted into the ISU National Network of Independent Agents effective the month of May, announced T.J. Ryan III, ISU International president.

ISU Insurance Services – Atwood Agency of Placerville, Calif. and ISU Insurance Services – Aura Casualty of Los Angeles, Calif. are the newest members of the network.

Under the guiding principle of providing professional independent agencies with the strengths and resources of national firms, ISU continues to grow with over 90 branch offices.

Principals from both of the new ISU Members said that the greatest factors in their desire to join were the competitive edge of being in a national network and the increased access to markets.

“As an independent agency that is eager to continue growing in today’s market place, joining ISU allows us to offer the same advantages the larger regional and national brokers utilize,” said Jay Davda, ISU Aura Casualty president. “We can now access the most preferred carriers with out having to deal with the premium volume requirements generally associated with this type of broad access.”

Don Erickson, ISU Atwood principal, noted the value of the camaraderie and willingness to share ideas and thoughts in the Network.

“Fortunately, I was able to attend the National Conference that ISU just had, and I was truly impressed with the quality of the members and the common feeling that everyone was a part of a larger team,” Erickson said.

“We were able to address, as a group, tremendous cutting-edge issues in the industry and how ISU Members could utilize them. This is the type of knowledge base that simply isn’t available to most independent agents,” he added.
