August 16, 2005

Insuring the Children has set the date of Oct. 17, 2005 for the Annual Golf Tournament. This year it will be held at the prestigious Santa Ana Country Club. For those golfers who haven’t played this course, this is a great opportunity to join your peers for a fun day that benefits a very worthwhile cause.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 17, 2005 at the Santa Ana Country Club at 10 a.m. Golfers and sponsors are being solicited. Because this is one of the most attended events in the Southern California insurance industry, sponsorship gives you a great opportunity to get your name in front of the who’s who in insurance. Sponsorship includes: Titanium $5,000, Graphite $2,500, Hole $500, Lunch, $3,000, Drinks $3,000 and Driving Range Sponsor $1,500. Several of the sponsorships can be shared.

For the players, foursomes are $1,600, Individuals are $400. Donations are welcome. A silent auction and drinks and hors d’oevres will be served after the tournament at the Club House. Non-golfers are always welcomed.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., Shotgun Tee Time is at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served on the course.

“This is your chance to have a great day playing golf with your peers at one of the Southland’s finest golf courses,” said Ed Rochford of the Chubb. “Unite in the insurance industry’s efforts to end the senseless incidents of child abuse and neglect in our communities. Most importantly, remember that over 95 percent of the proceeds from this event go directly to insuring the children. These organizations are counting on us to fund their programs so we need your help. Invest in the children and keep them safe by signing up, today!”

Insuring the Children is a non-profit organization created by insurance industry leaders with the goal of supporting child abuse prevention programs and raising awareness of child abuse and neglect. Since its inception in 1994, ITC has raised over $1,000,000 assist child abuse prevention centers.
