Alliance Offers New Programs at 2005 Conference & Expo

September 15, 2005

A “Launching Pad” where companies will be displaying their new products and services is just one of many new features that will highlight “Partnering for Success,” the American Agents Alliance 2005 Conference & Expo, Sept. 28-Oct. 2 in Indian Wells, Calif.

Convention Committee Chair Barbera Jakubanis explained that the “Launchpad” came about as the result of the feedback received from attendees. “Many producers want more information on products and services available to them. And, many company folks want to spend some extra quality time with producers.”

Jakubanis explained the “Launchpad” will provide Alliance company partners with the forum to speak to a large number of producers all at once. “Company representatives will have a captive audience of existing and potential producers eager to hear about enhancements and changes to their products, as well as new insurance-related products and services.”

Alliance “Company Partners” committed to participating in the “Launchpad” include: Infinity, Unitrin, AIG, Michael Curry Technology, TV Humphreys, Bristol West, Drive Insurance from Progressive, Superior Access and Western General.

Jakubanis added, “The “Launchpad” will be presented in a big, open setting. All attendees are welcome — and are encouraged — to attend.”

Other new Alliance Convention events to be unveiled this year include:

• A new member breakfast where the Alliance will welcome new agents and brokers to the association.

• Education programs presented in Spanish by platinum sponsor Infinity Insurance.

• Presentations on critical regulatory issues and the Alliance’s advocacy programs.

• A “new and improved” golf tournament, sponsored by Superior Access, with a hole-in-one prize (a Cadillac Escalade!) and thousands of dollars in guaranteed prizes.

Of course, there will be the annual favorites such as the trade show, gala banquets, CE seminars and general sessions.

Jakubanis said based on the number of registrations to date, the 2005 event will likely be the largest Alliance Convention ever.

“The Convention Committee and staff have worked very hard to provide many new beneficial events for all attendees,” she said. “Agent/brokers, company representatives and industry vendors will all benefit greatly from this year’s event.”

Alliance President David Nielson said there will be several opportunities for attendees to hear about new Alliance products and services.

The education presentations will include:

• A presentation on how agent/brokers can comply with the Privacy Regulations;

• A legislative and regulatory update with Alliance Legislative Advocate Kevin Pedrotti and Counsel Robert Hogeboom;

• A regulatory compliance update with Counsel Alan Frederick and Alliance VP Gary Jensen.
