Heffernan Insurance Merges with Advanced Insurance of Orange, Calif.

Heffernan Insurance Brokers, an insurance brokerage based in Walnut Creek, Calif., is merging with Advanced Insurance of Orange, Calif.

The new Heffernan Insurance Brokers office will be led by current Advanced Insurance executives Tony Canini and Jim Cochran. Canini has been with Advanced Insurance since 1973, and Cochran has been with Advancedsince 1976. Advanced Insurance has approximately 25 employees, all of whom will become Heffernan employees.

Advanced Insurance has been in Orange, Calif., since 1965 and offers commercial insurance, employee benefits and personal insurance to its client base. Its specialty has been nonprofits, especially church risks, which is a match to Heffernan Insurance Brokers’ nonprofit and church units.

Advanced Insurance will now be known as Heffernan Insurance Brokers. It will remain at its current address at 1855 W. Katella Avenue, Suite 255, Orange, CA 92867, and will maintain its current phone number: (714) 997-8100.

Heffernan Insurance Brokers, a member of the Heffernan Group, offers property, liability, group medical insurance, personal insurance and financial services. The company provides insurance products and services to individuals, as well as to a companies within a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, wine, property owners, non-profits, and technology. The company has three locations in Northern California in addition to its Walnut Creek headquarters: Palo Alto, Petaluma and San Francisco. It has two locations in Southern California: Brea and Los Angeles, and has two locations in Florida and one location in Portland, Oregon.
