Ryan Hettich, a Colorado Springs, Colo., businessman and former insurance agency executive, has joined Denver-based Pinnacol Assurance’s board of directors. Hettich was appointed to the board by Governor Bill Owens and has an understanding of Pinnacol’s competitive environment and customer base.
Hettich is the owner of Sundance Capital Inc., a Colorado Springs-based holding company for dry cleaning and commercial real estate businesses that he founded in 2000. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in the insurance industry as chief financial officer for an 11-state region of Acordia, a national insurance agency owned by Wells Fargo. At Acordia, Hettich oversaw $1 billion in premium, multiple profit-center turnarounds, and high-dollar acquisitions and divestitures.
