An ongoing joint investigation by Oregon State Police (OSP) and the Insurance Division, a part of the Department of Consumer & Business Services, regarding reports alleging financial fraud and violations of law regulating the insurance industry is being conducted related to business activities of Reinking Insurance in north Eugene, Ore.
On July 31, 2007, OSP detectives, with the assistance of the Insurance Division, served a search warrant at Reinking Insurance located at 49 Silver Lane in Eugene. Investigators are concerned that there may have been unknown victims who have purchased insurance with Reinking Insurance during the past three years.
Investigators are asking those who have had problems with their accounts in dealing with Reinking Insurance to contact Detective Dan Wolverton at 541-726-2550 ext. 219.
Because the investigation is ongoing, OSP is not providing further details except that the investigation is centering around alleged fraudulent activities related to the insurance agency’s business practices.
