Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Click Bishop has named David Stone of Juneau as deputy commissioner.
Prior to Stone’s appointment, which is effective Jan. 4, he worked for Juneau-based Alaska Electric Light and Power Co. as vice president of lands and AJT Mining Properties as president. He has served on the Alaska Workforce Investment Board since 2002, and has been on the boards of many other organizations including the Juneau Chamber of Commerce, the Alaska Miners Association, and the Juneau Borough Assembly.
