CNA Announces New Western Service Center in Denver

February 11, 2010

CNA has announced plans to open a new Western Service Center. Scheduled to open in Denver with full functionality by the second quarter of 2011, the service center is designed to enable CNA to expand its service center capabilities –beyond its current locations in Maitland, Fla., Chicago, and Reading, Pa. — to the Western portion of the country.

“The Western Service Center reflects our continuing effort to become a more customer-centric company and world class claim organization,” said George Fay, executive vice president of Claim, CNA. “We are committed to providing a positive customer experience through consistent service and strong relationships with local agents, brokers and underwriters.”

Over the next year, the global business insurer has planned a gradual implementation that will deliver a portion of its Worldwide Operations and Claim Express capabilities. Ultimately, the Western Service Center will feature claim handling, policy processing, a call center as well as billing and collections to offer CNA producers and customers greater operational effectiveness and improved business continuity.

Additionally, the new Service Center will provide increased career path options for employees by growing a single location that offers claim and underwriting support operations.

“We want to demonstrate that CNA is a major property and casualty market and an employer of choice in the Denver marketplace,” said Katie Cunning, senior vice president of Worldwide Operations, CNA. “This is an exciting new investment that will enable us to better respond to the needs of our producers and their customers while providing new opportunities for current and potential employees.”

A search is currently under way to find a permanent location for this service center; until then, existing space adjacent to the Denver Branch office will be used.
