The Denver Office of Lockton Companies LLC, a large privately held independent insurance brokerage, has expanded its Lockton Denver Benefits Group with the addition of Michael Faughnan.
As an employee benefits consultant, Faughnan will help organizations find solutions for their employee benefit objectives that are consistent with the upcoming changes required from the health care legislation. He will analyze clients’ current benefits plans, identify areas for improvement and cost savings, and evaluate insurance carriers, insurance programs, and vendors.
Faughnan has extensive experience as an employee benefit consultant providing benefit consulting services to companies with 100 to 30,000 employees and in numerous industries, such as retail, hospitality, healthcare, finance, energy, manufacturing, and government.
Throughout his career, Faughnan has provided strategic consulting to senior executives, offered expert testimony for union arbitration, and resolved multi-million dollar disputes with insurance carriers.
Most recently, Faughnan was the benefits practice and market leader for Aon’s Denver office. During his 12 years there, he was chairman of Aon’s Southwest Health and Welfare Practice Council and client leader for several major accounts.
Faughnan started his career as a group life, disability, and health plan underwriter for a major insurance carrier.
