Yeah…this sounds about right. Fits in perfectly with the entitlement mentality. No reason to take responsibility for their own actions. I’m surprise that they didn’t blame Bush for their problems.
If he/she is overreacting to an article that gives you the opportunity to comment with your thoughts, what are you doing? I honestly thought the same thing. This country is becoming full of pathetic whiners who look to blame EVERYONE else for their problems.
I guess we should all stop posting our thoughts so we don’t upset dear Speedo.
The choice to post is up to you – your posts don’t upset me, so don’t stop on my account. It would be a pretty dull world if we all agreed on everything.
I personally don’t believe our country is full of pathetic whiners who look to blame everyone else for their problems. There are a few, and these five are in prison. I just don’t see any reason to lump these particular losers in with people like Judge Robert Bork, who a few years ago sued a university he was speaking at for a trip-and-fall injury.
I have to side with Speedo on part of his point here. This isn’t a country full of pathetic whiners who look to blame everyone else for their problems (although there are too many of those). Just think about all of our veterans who have lost limbs, sanity, and more, but they drive on. Also think about all of us who are dedicated to our jobs and our families. There are a lot of us who earn our own way in this world, and sometimes even help people we’ve never even met.
Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) – a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
That’s it, I’m suing the Bic pen company because i used their pen when i signed a contract that i now do not agree with….For that matter why don’t smokers sue Bic lighters and Zippo as they were used in the course of lighting their cigarettes that caused lung cancer.
Well….They do sell a product that costs taxpayers considerable pain. As do cigarette makers. If the products were offered on the free market today they would not be allowed. I believe we should offer the manufacturers a date to stop producing the deadly products along with a pass for the past and a warning of “do not more harm” We live in a country of money or morality. Of course, I’ll get a 100 dislikes but that’s just my opinion..
Where would you draw the line Taxpayer, cheeseburgers for making us fat, or maybe the dairy farmers that make the cheese.
Why don’t we focus on things we can really prove cause harm, like Disney Channel and Teen Nikelodeon Channel.
Not a dislike, because it’s a principled opinion. But humankind has amply demonstrated that prohibition of vices is doomed to failure, and usually causes more harm than good. Regulation, education and ultimately, punishment for some is about the best we can do.
OK, you keep saying addictive vs. non-addictive. So, what about caffeine? What about working out? Yes, people get addicted to working out. What about skin-picking, fingernail biting, or hair-pulling? What about smart phone use? Do we outlaw all of that, too? Prohibition has never worked. Looked at the failed War On Drugs. Illegalizing alcohol is not the answer. Unless, of course, you want even more crime.
It’s just par for the course, a significant number of people now take no responsibility for their actions. I’m constantly amazed by the number of people I come in contact with daily that anything that happens to them, especially the bad stuff, it’s not their fault, the blame always falls on someone else. Personal Responsibility people, that’s what is needed.
Perhaps we should sue automobile manufacturers because we can drive at ludicrous speeds and kill someone, Bathroom scale manufacturers because using them makes us depressed when we have gained weight, or not lost it quickly enough, and Sand and Gravel companies because we ran on the playground as children and fell and skinned our knees on the gravel. Makes as much sense! CHOICES!!! It’s all about CHOICES! Sadly, these “nuisance” law suits keeps the courts up to their eyeballs in a tyraid of paper logistics, and legitimate cases from being heard in a reasonable manner. The plaintiff’s “time” could be better spent being constructive as opposed to costing MORE money to the taxpayers. Pathetic!
So can I sue the Vatican because it encouraged and faciliatated my first marriage and now I have to pay alimony??? The state gave me a marriage license too. None of this stuff had warning labels on it.
The booze made me do it. I was high on something didn’t know what I was doing. They were mean to me. What other excuses can be made. Grow up and take responsibility for what you did. Be an adult. Quit whinning
Alcohol should be outlawed. Most deadly and addictive drug on the market.Kills more than all the other drugs combined.Personally I hope they win. Then there is more awareness of this death potion.Your addicted when you can’t have fun without it.Think about it party animals could you go to the party and drink water or other refreshments or does alcohol play a big part in your ability to have fun or be entertained?? Is it a right of passage in your familY?? How many have not known someone who has died as a result of their own or someone elses use of alcohol?? Please be aware and teach your children ways to be entertained that dont involve the use of alcohol.
If they won their case the inmates would probably celebrate with alot of Beer and Wine, and then fall into a swimming pool and nearly drown. Then sue their school for not teaching them how to swim.
Inbev produces extremely high quality products. Each batch goes through rigorous filtering and other quality control processes to produce a product that is nearly as pure as, and tastes very much like, water.
Oh, you just named off some of my favorites! And, it’s Friday. Almost time to grab a mixed 6 pack from my favorite local craft beer shop. If you didn’t get to try the Vertical Epic from Stone yet, and you can get your hands on some still, pick it up!
Maybe the taxpayers should sue the attorneys for taking on such a frivolous law suit! Isn’t there some type of oath that these attorney’s take?? They should not be allowed to accept such cases…and the court should have the power to reject them once they are filed, and then get the attorney’s license revoked!!!
So if someone buys a gun from a shop, goes out and kills someone with the gun, they can sue the shop for selling them the gun? One word: FRIVOLOUS LAWSUIT.
Victimized just like the guy who drown in the vat of beer. It was determined that he didn’t suffer much as he climbed out three times to use the bathroom.
I found a mouse in a jug of olive oil in my cupboard, it had eaten through the plastic lid, dropped into it, drowned, and bloated. But I didn’t notice it until I had used if several times. I still can’t eat home made italian dressing.
Even the attorneys must think it’s crazy since they’re not represented. Or, maybe no lawyer wants to take the case because when they lose, they’ll want to turn around and sue the lawyers for a poor defense…
I am sorry to say, I am on the side of the prisoners.
Remember the Marlboro Man that was shown on television? Well he is no more, and why? Because the tobacco industry made BILLIONS by advertising and making people feel it was cool, look at the tobacco industry now! The tobacco industry has been sued time and time again, and they lost because they knew the health effects that smoking does and tried to conceal it! Smoking is addictive and so is alcohol. No more Marlboro man on TV right? Well I would have to agree with these fellow prisoners, look at AA alcohlics anonomous, AA is actually designated for prisoners to acheive by judjes nation wide and if you can bring down the tobacco companys deceptive practices why not the alcohol industry? You all watch and see, this is a great case!
There should be a formula to add a year on to each of their sentences for every $10,000 spent to defend this suit should they lose. That way they have some skin in the game.
Alcohol is not addictive to everyone! There are millions of individuals who can consume it in small, moderate or large amounts without becoming addicted to it. I believe that only those genetically predisposed to alcoholism become addicted.
Yeah…this sounds about right. Fits in perfectly with the entitlement mentality. No reason to take responsibility for their own actions. I’m surprise that they didn’t blame Bush for their problems.
Wow – does your knee hurt from jerking so much?
This is just 5 guys with a lot of time to spare, not an allegory for your world view.
If he/she is overreacting to an article that gives you the opportunity to comment with your thoughts, what are you doing? I honestly thought the same thing. This country is becoming full of pathetic whiners who look to blame EVERYONE else for their problems.

Don’t give up on this country just yet.
The problem is NOT whether we have whiner’s or not… the problem is our system WON’T RECOGNIZE them as such when they show themselves.
They did blame bush, Anheuser-Busch that is.
Love it! That one was almost as funny as the story itself. I think, by now, I should be able to sue for a gajillion dollars!
I am certain they voted Obama!
Geez, does everything have to turn back to politics??
Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) – a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
aka Socialism

Or Bausch and Lomb for giving me the ability to even be able to read some of these stories, and the resulting headaches.
Bic lighters are non addictive.
…………….and that, your honor, is why I stabbed him…….15 times……..in the back

Cheese is non addictive.
Sure is nasty when it’s cut.
Not a dislike, because it’s a principled opinion. But humankind has amply demonstrated that prohibition of vices is doomed to failure, and usually causes more harm than good. Regulation, education and ultimately, punishment for some is about the best we can do.
Hurricanes also cause taxpayers much pain. Perhaps they should be illegal as well?

Everyone else needs to take more Personal Responsibility. I take enough.
I guess that none of are selling insurance today, just reading and responding to stupid comments made by others…
We’re on our lunch break, boss.
I’m on break from my lunch break.
Perhaps we should sue automobile manufacturers because we can drive at ludicrous speeds and kill someone, Bathroom scale manufacturers because using them makes us depressed when we have gained weight, or not lost it quickly enough, and Sand and Gravel companies because we ran on the playground as children and fell and skinned our knees on the gravel. auto, bathroom scales, sand & gravel companies: Non Addictive
So can I sue the Vatican because it encouraged and faciliatated my first marriage and now I have to pay alimony??? The state gave me a marriage license too. None of this stuff had warning labels on it.
I’d like to give that one a thousand LIKE’s.
Marriage: Non-Addictive
The booze made me do it. I was high on something didn’t know what I was doing. They were mean to me. What other excuses can be made. Grow up and take responsibility for what you did. Be an adult. Quit whinning
how do these morons even have standing to sue?
The REAL sad part is there is probably a line up of attorneys willing to take on all of the examples that have been discussed today.
“Alcohol should be outlawed.”
How do I history?
Good luck with that.
Maybe prisons should be outlawed. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Prisons: Non-addictive
Not true, some get addicted to being institutionalized.
The real question becomes: Why do the courts even accept these lawsuits! What a waste of taxpayer money.
hey I think they should of thought that up in rehab.not in prison. Didn’t that fat kids mom get money for her kid that eat at mc donels?
From memory, I think she lost, or the case was kicked.
If they won their case the inmates would probably celebrate with alot of Beer and Wine, and then fall into a swimming pool and nearly drown. Then sue their school for not teaching them how to swim.
I will sue the crappy university I went to that didn’t warn me that I had to apply myself to get a good job and turn it into a career.
A better idea would be an action against In-Bev for what its done the the quality of beer in the US.
Inbev produces extremely high quality products. Each batch goes through rigorous filtering and other quality control processes to produce a product that is nearly as pure as, and tastes very much like, water.
Buy better beer. Might I suggest something by Stone Brewery, Bell’s, Founder’s, or DeSchutes?
Captain, you are one two-hearted, dirty, arrogant basta*d, you know that? You can kiss my black butte.
Oh, you just named off some of my favorites! And, it’s Friday. Almost time to grab a mixed 6 pack from my favorite local craft beer shop. If you didn’t get to try the Vertical Epic from Stone yet, and you can get your hands on some still, pick it up!

Guns: Non-addictive

Funny
“Hey, we found this mouse in our bottle of beer, eh.”
I found a mouse in a jug of olive oil in my cupboard, it had eaten through the plastic lid, dropped into it, drowned, and bloated. But I didn’t notice it until I had used if several times. I still can’t eat home made italian dressing.

Hmmmmm. I’ve done some pretty stupid stuff while drinking, but breaking the law wasn’t one of them. At least not that I remember…
There should be a formula to add a year on to each of their sentences for every $10,000 spent to defend this suit should they lose. That way they have some skin in the game.
