I have read a bunch of reviews on this company. They all just say “beware.” Why does no one say “I paid, and my line developed a leak, and they paid or they refused to pay it”? These comments are useless. I speak with a hole in my front yard, exposing a plastic water line installed in 1958. If the leak dries up, the plumbers will cover it Monday, probably at a cost of $300 or more. Every thing I read was just a warning that there are restrictions, possibly resulting in no payment. Again who has actually filed a claim, and had it paid or refused?

I signed up with HEIS last year for all the exterior water line repairs which only cost me $63.00 per year, AND I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID!!!!! Just last week I saw that there was a puddle of water next to my front yard water valve. I called them for help and within two hours someone was at my home. AND THEY FIXED EVERYTHING!!!! I ENDED UP NEEDING NEW WATER LINES UP TO THE STREET AND ALL WAS FIXED USING MY POLICY AND I DIDN’T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING!!!! ALL WAS COVERED!!!! I ended up getting more policies from them from a/c and heater protection to sewer line protection.

We have had their exterior water pipe coverage for several years now and have been completely satisfied. There is no “service fee” for someone to come out and so far absolutely everything has been covered! They even cover damage by roots which most other home warranty policies do not. We got this because we have an old house with galvanized pipes. Our regular home warranty that we got when we bought our house doesn’t offer coverage for the pipes from the foundation to the street and these guys do. Keep in mind though that existing problems are not covered, just new ones. (except for roots regrowing). We’ve been very happy with the service people that they have sent out also. I think some of the bad reviews are in other parts of the country or state. I haven’t actually seen any bad reviews for our area in Los Angeles.

Years ago I had a leak between my water meter and the house. It cost me thousands of dollars to find it and repair it. So when this insurance was offered at $65.88 per year I took it out. Recently I had another leak (which I discovered because of low water pressure). I called the hot line and within hours a designated plumber came by. The leak turned out to be inside the house. They only charged for one hour of work to repair it. Checking out the outside waterline was totally free. To me, this insurance is well worth the small yearly fee.

We just bought this insurance in January 2017 for $65.88.Our house is 32 years old so we thought it would be worth it. We thought we had a leak this week and called and they sent a plumber out to check it out. It turned out that there was no leak. While he was here we asked if sprinklers were covered because we had a couple that were “gushing”…he looked at them and had us call the insurance to see if they were covered. She told us she would check and they would call us back later. The plumber left and within a couple or hours they called and said “yes” the sprinkler system is covered. The same plumber came back the next day and fixed our sprinklers at N/C. My gardener charges me every time he has to fix them (and he probably broke them…lol) So in ending I guess we made back our initial yearly fee. Great experience!
