Minneapolis-St.Paul – April 23, 2019 – The OnRamp Insurance Accelerator, in partnership with Allianz Life, Securian Financial and gener8tor, is accepting applications from startups seeking to be a part of the organization’s 2019 cohort. Each year, the accelerator invests in five startups that operate in, are looking to operate in, or are tangential to the insurance industry, including insurtech, fintech and other enterprise technologies.
Selected startups participate in a three-month, concierge accelerator program in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Each startup receives a cash investment of $100,000, office space and access to gener8tor’s global network of mentors and investors.
Applications are currently being accepted through April 28, 2019 for the 2019 OnRamp Insurance Accelerator cohort. Interested startups may apply at https://www.onrampinsuranceaccelerator.com/apply.
“Unlike traditional accelerators, the OnRamp Insurance Accelerator does not take equity upfront,” said Troy Vosseller, Co-Founder, gener8tor. “The full $100,000 is invested on the same terms of the startup’s current round or advanced as an uncapped convertible note.”
In addition, the five startups will work with gener8tor in Minneapolis-St. Paul in close proximity to the teams from Allianz Life and Securian Financial as well as other carriers in the OnRamp network for potential carrier engagement or CVC follow-on investment.

In addition, Pooja Shah has joined gener8tor as Managing Director of the OnRamp Insurance Accelerator.
“The startups that are selected for the program will have the opportunity to create deep and meaningful connections with experts across all areas of Allianz Life and Securian Financial as well as the other carriers that are part of the OnRamp network,” said Pooja. “It’s a chance for companies to understand the black box that insurance and enterprise sales can often be and to work closely with and get tailored mentorship from carriers.”
