San Diego, CA, 08/29/12 – The Insurance Brokers & Agents of San Diego along with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation of San Diego will be hosting a lunch discussion on September 19, 2012 with guest speaker Reginald King, the West Coast Regional Manager of Kidnap, Ransom, and Extortion Insurance with Chartis Insurance.
Reggie will be discussing this unique insurance protection and provide insight as to how it is accomplished. While rarely publicized, crisis events such as kidnap for ransom, extortion and disappearance are ever increasing threats to multinational companies, organizations and individuals traveling around the world. Reggie will also be bringing a “first responder” professional that he works with to provide additional depth to the discussion.
The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 at the Handlery Hotel at 950 Hotel Circle North in San Diego. Registration begins at 11:50am and the lunch and discussion will begin at 12:00pm. The cost is $35.00 per person for IBA members ($45 for non-members) and $5.00 per ticket will be donated to the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation to help local charities.

About Reginald King
Reggie is the West Coast Regional Manager of Kidnap, Ransom, and Extortion Insurance with Chartis Insurance Company and has been working at Chartis since 2004. He has 14 years of experience in crisis management in the private sector and the United States military. He was recalled to active duty in 2006 and spent all of 2007 in Iraq as leader of a crisis response team. He embedded with an Army Brigade combat team to capture high value targets whose efforts resulted in hostage rescues. He was awarded the Bronze Star for service during combat operations in Iraq.
